The company behind these pastilles, Pastiglie Leone, dates back to 1857, when founder Luigi Leone moved his young business from Alba to Turin and earned a royal warrant from the House of Savoy. More than a century and a half later, it is still known for that same small, softly crumbling texture and for its elaborately decorated collectible boxes. Ginger is a newer addition to the Pastiglie Leone range, developed to sit alongside the more traditional citrus and herbal flavors.
