Mangini has been making candy in Bosco Marengo, a town in Piedmont, since the years just after the Second World War, with the company taking its current form in 1981. It has stayed close to traditional Italian methods since then, favoring straightforward recipes over anything overly processed. Strawberry rounds out Mangini's sugar-free hard candy range, built using the same shell technique as the rest of the brand's traditional candies. Strawberry was one of the first flavors chosen for the sugar-free range, largely because its sweetness translates well without added sugar.
