Fida's Fondenti Fruit candies pack a punch of sweet, fruity flavor in each of their soft, melty fondant pieces. Fida has been making candy in Piedmont since 1973. Over the years it has also become the maker of several older Italian names, including candies first developed under the Perugina label in the 1920s, keeping much of the original character intact. Fondenti is a fairly specific texture within Italian candy making, and Fida has kept its version close to the original method rather than simplifying it. The fondant style itself is one of the more labor intensive formats the company produces, which is part of why fewer brands still make it.
