Gianduia itself is a specific regional flavor, made from hazelnuts and chocolate together rather than separately, and this candy leans into that history. Rossana has been made since 1926, first under the Perugina name and later by Fida, which now owns the brand. Almost a hundred years on, it is still one of the most recognized filled candies in Italy, known for its rich, creamy center. Gianduia is closely tied to Piedmont, where both Fida and the gianduia tradition itself originated.
